CELEBRATE THE HARVESTBrought to you by the Housatonic Improvement Committee, Friends of Housatonic, and Sharing Excess, join your Housatonic neighbors for an afternoon of cider, pie contest, free apples, and community connection.
❋ PIE CONTEST DETAILSJudged by Housatonic’s very own, Kate Van Olst, and co-owner of The Common, Eric Goulange, Housatonic’s inaugural pie contest asks Housatonian’s to bring their A-game in the spirit of the harvest. You must register for the pie contest (free entry) by Friday, September 18th and drop your pie off between 10am and 11:30am on Saturday, September 19th.

❋ ABOUT SHARING EXCESSSharing Excess is the fastest-growing hunger relief nonprofit in the United States. They rescue and distribute more than 2,000,000 lbs. of food every week in partnership with grocers, wholesalers, and farmers. In collaboration with HiC and Friends of Housatonic, Sharing Excess will be giving out free apples from regional partners at the Harvest Festival.
